Spirit in the Physical / In&Outside

Spirit, it appears to me, is both infinite and infinitesimal. 

We can potentially embrace the vast extension of the universe, just as we can be a vanishingly small but immensely powerful spark of energy. 

It is a disorienting experience for spirit to occupy a human body or indeed any physical object or organism. To be perfectly oriented and centred in physical space, we must be infinitesimal, no physical extension, only position. When occupying anything physical, we tend to protect it, make an aura around it, which means we suddenly are finite. We have extension, but it is finite, and we have lost our center point. 

I believe that being heart-centred or centring ourselves in the heart means just that, finding the center point that is the position of infinitesimal yet infinite spirit. Everything else, the aura, the levels of the “spiritual” bodies, the chakras, those are all overlays, add-ons as a friend of mine would call them. 

In physical existence we tend to want to protect whatever we occupy. That makes us assume a form like being distributed in a cloud, an aura of energy around anything physical we occupy. Doing so we lose our innate power as a spirit, which is our capacity to be infinitesimal in extension yet infinite in (energy) potential. It is the power to stably occupy just one point in physical space, and to act from that stable point.

Inside – Outside

So what should be the lesson to learn from this? 

We can be either inside or outside, meaning we can have a certain position or an uncertain one.

We must find our own center. Feelings and sensations, be they of pain or pleasure, tend to distract us, make us “be” in more than one place at the same time, acquire extension in the physical, and thus become finite. Poof – no longer can we exercise our innate power. That power becomes energy without direction, energy that isn’t grounded, and as such it is ready to be directed by someone else or worse, siphoned off as someone else’s “food”. Lamentably that is the state we humans are in at the moment. 

So let’s find our heart center again and be ourselves!

Let us become both infinitesimal and infinite.

And then there is the question of time. 

We can be dispersed not only in space but also in time. 

Any trauma we have gone through but have not been able to confront will keep a part of our energy locked up in a time capsule, in a location of time that is different from the “now” moment. 

There are techniques to allow us to collect those traumatic moments in other times and to bring them to the present. We should eventually look into that, to collect as much as possible of our being in the “now” moment. 

I think we are talking real power once we are collected and grounded in the present moment.
