(Read by Nelson Mandela when he became president of RSA)
Our deepest fear we have is not that we are unmighty
Our deepest fear is linked to our not to be measured power
not the darkness, but the light in us
is that what we fear most.
We ask ourselves:
“Who am I to consider myself brilliant, shining?”
But why wouldn’t we be that?
You are a child of God!
You don’t serve the world to keep yourself small.
No light will be emitted when the people around you
get their sureness from you being small.
We are destined to shine like children do
We are born to let the glory Gods in us to open up.
That glory is not just in some of us, but in every human being
and when we shine our light then this enables others to do the same.
Only if we are freed from our deepest fears
then only we being around will free others.
